Johnny Video’s Bio

Johnny Video Born on August 8th - Johnny “Hollywood” Video has worn a number of hats throughout his life, and continues to do so to this day. From 1987-1998 he was a Sales Rep for an organization known as Baughman & Associates which he took over in late 1996. In 1999, he removed himself from the sales circus and went back to the hospitality industry where he had started as a server- this time as the G.M. of a notable and popular, sports-themed restaurant.

During his tenure as a General Manager in the early years of the new millennium, Johnny also got into the Professional Wrestling Business and managed a tag team known as The Ghost Riders, going under the monikers of both “Johnny ‘Hollywood’ Video”, and “Evil Mr. Manager”. Quickly, he became renown for his ‘mike skills’, and especially popular for his somewhat politically incorrect tagline, “The maps are in the glove compartment, the dog is on the porch fetchin’ my slippers, and the wife is in the kitchen… where she belongs!”

In 2009, Video changed directions once again, and left the restaurant industry to open up his own hot dog push cart company- Kronic Kat Hot Dogs. It was also in 2009 when Johnny, who had been doing voice work on and off the record books for well over 25 years, officially launched his own voice company, Johnny Video Voice Services.
By 2011, he took it one step further when he signed on to become one of the on-air radio personalities for the internationally recognized Professional Wrestling Talk Show,
Smart Mark Radio.

Through Johnny Video Voice Services, Hollywood has also written and produced several videos and other works for Smartasses Politically Incorrect Magazine, which is probably most widely known for it’s annual Smartasses Top 100 Sexiest Women List.

In terms of Johnny’s voice career, he began as a fledgling voice talent back in 1982, at the age tender age of fifteen. Influenced almost entirely by SCTV, he began covering a wide range of Celebrity Voice Impersonations and Character Voice Impressions on an amateur level, turning them into small comedy bits on cassette tape for friends and family. The name “Johnny Video” itself was also originally inspired by an SCTV bit where Rick Moranis played a small time VJ (Video Jockey) named
Gerry Todd.

If you need my professional Voice Over Services, my rates are typically around 10-50% less than what you will pay with other voice over professionals, especially when compared to voice over artists found via talent agencies- because you’re simply paying extra money to provide for a middle-man (I no longer affiliate with talent agencies.) In that same vein, if you are truly trying to nab a well-known celebrity for your project, more often than naught, the celebrity you want is either unreachable, unavailable, or has a cost that is off the charts. I can give you the celebrity voice you want, without all that hassle and cost.

Please know in advance that I do not charge by the word, I charge by the time of the script, and unless it’s pertinent to the final project, I am usually not interested in seeing power point instructions, camera directions, or similar, as they simply convolute the information that does pertain to me.
