Bio – Johnny Video

Early Career

Johnny Video Bio – Voice Actor, Professional Voice Overs & Celebrity Voice ImpersonationsInfluenced almost entirely by SCTV, Johnny Video began performing celebrity voice impersonations as far back as 1981, doing small comedy bits on cassette tape for friends and family. Even the name Johnny Video itself was originally inspired by an SCTV sketch, where Rick Moranis played a small time VJ named Gerry Todd. Video’s career in the entertainment industry first grew it’s legs in 1999, after accepting an offer to join the professional wrestling business as a tag team manager known as Evil Mr. Manager. However, despite becoming quickly renown for his microphone and improvisational skills, Video eventually felt that his acting was best suited for behind the camera, and retired to voice acting only.

Voice Actor

Soon after becoming an on-air personality at the Smart Mark Radio network in 2010, and after voicing hundreds of cartoons, movie trailers, video games, radio commercials, phone apps and web projects, Video landed his first film, Cheery Point (2012), voicing the role of Consulate Barack Obama. He would later go on to star in the films Libertaria (2013), Journey To Mt Fuji (2014) and the short The Seventeenth Kind (2014). As a writer and producer, JV single-handedly composed, performed and produced the SA Magazine Comedy Album for the popular webzine, Smartasses Magazine.

Radio Host

After establishing himself as a popular on-air talent with Smart Mark Radio, Johnny was handed the reins to his own show in February 2013, when he accepted the offer to become the inaugural emcee of the virgin joint-enterprise of Smartasses Magazine and the SMR Network,  Smartasses Radio. One of the top comedy podcasts in the country, Video has received notoriety for delivering unique and innovative interviews with some of the top names in the entertainment industry today.
